The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has congratulated its Vice Chairman, Elder Chukwudi Abiandu, on his 70th birthday, describing him as a veteran journalist whose career has been defined by professionalism, integrity and commitment to ethical journalism.
In a statement signed by its Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha, FCISM, MNIPR, the forum celebrated Abiandu for his more than three decades of contributions to journalism, public communication and nation-building.
The DOPF described the celebrant, who is also the Publisher of Banner Online News and a media and public relations consultant, as a shining example of excellence and responsible journalism, noting that he has earned the respect of colleagues, public institutions and members of the wider society through balanced reporting, insightful analysis and dedication to truth and justice.
The forum said Abiandu’s contributions to the development of online journalism in Delta State and Nigeria, as well as his mentorship of younger media professionals, had created an enduring legacy that would continue to inspire the next generation of journalists.
According to DOPF, Abiandu has also distinguished himself in his role as Vice Chairman of the forum through exemplary leadership, wisdom and selfless service.
“His wealth of experience, calm disposition, and commitment to the ideals of professionalism have greatly strengthened the Forum and contributed to its unity, credibility, and growing influence within the media landscape,” the statement said.
The forum further acknowledged his counsel and guidance in advancing its vision of promoting responsible digital journalism and protecting the integrity of the journalism profession.
As he marked the milestone, DOPF described Abiandu as an accomplished media icon, respected public relations strategist and elder statesman whose life exemplifies dedication, humility and service to humanity.
The forum joined his family, friends, associates and admirers in celebrating his 70th birthday and expressing gratitude to God for preserving him in good health and strength over the years.
DOPF prayed for the celebrant to enjoy many more years of sound health, divine protection, renewed strength and greater accomplishments, while expressing hope that his wisdom and contributions to journalism and national development would continue to impact generations to come.
