More Information has been brought to light about the demolition of a palatial home in Abuja owned by Joseph Egbri alias Kpokpogri, a former lover of Actress, Tonto Dikeh.
Early on Saturday morning, Kpokpogri’s home was brought to rubble by officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA. The building situated in Guzape is worth over N700 million.
Speaking on the matter, an official of the FCTA revealed that the property was built on a Major highway and had no building approval.
Also weighing in on the matter, Mr. Ikharo Attah, a Senior Special Assistant to the FCT minister, disclosed that Egbri was warned severally but he refused to listen.
“His house is on a super highway known as M-16. He doesn’t even have a building plan approval. It’s like somebody who knows that the highway is coming sold the land to him and he just went to build. We have been asking him to stop but he refused.”
“When he discovered that it was a road, He didn’t stop but kept rushing the building. The whole building was built in less than a year.
“The Federal Housing Authority Managing Director came here twice this week. The MD came the day before yesterday (Thursday) that they didn’t give him approval and the building was illegally constructed.”
He added that development of the highway will commence in 3 months.
