The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), Professor Ezekiel O. Agbalagba, has congratulated the Major General Felix Mujakperuo on the occasion of his 20th coronation anniversary, describing the monarch’s reign as two decades of vision, peace, statesmanship and enduring impact.
In a goodwill message issued on Monday in Effurun, Delta State, Agbalagba, on behalf of the University’s Governing Council, Management, Senate, staff and students, described the milestone as a remarkable chapter in the history of the Okpe Kingdom.
He said the monarch’s two decades on the throne had been characterised by wisdom, purposeful leadership, unity and a deep commitment to preserving the kingdom’s cultural heritage while promoting development.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, the Orodje’s reign has successfully combined respect for tradition with a progressive vision for growth, noting that his leadership has been distinguished by dignity, constructive engagement and statesmanship.
Agbalagba said these qualities had strengthened relationships among institutions and communities, creating an atmosphere that encourages peace, cooperation and sustainable development.
The FUPRE Vice-Chancellor also commended the monarch for his enduring support for the university, expressing appreciation for the royal father’s goodwill and advocacy towards the institution’s growth and pursuit of academic excellence.
He noted that the Orodje’s commitment to education and institutional development aligns with FUPRE’s vision of promoting knowledge, innovation, human capital development and excellence as critical drivers of societal advancement.
Agbalagba further stressed that the university’s relationship with traditional institutions, particularly the Okpe Kingdom, underscores the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing education, community development and human capacity building.
“As the Orodje marks the 20th anniversary of his coronation, FUPRE joins the people of Okpe Kingdom in celebrating the values upheld, the relationships strengthened and the positive influence of His Majesty’s reign,” he said.
The Vice-Chancellor prayed for God to grant the monarch continued wisdom, sound health, strength and many more years of peaceful and impactful service to the Okpe Kingdom, Delta State and Nigeria.
He extended the warm congratulations of the entire FUPRE community to the royal father, wishing him continued fulfilment and divine guidance as he leads the Okpe Kingdom into a new chapter of its history.
