The chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta state, Comrade Friday Ovoke Warri, has attributed the successes recorded by his administration in the year 2024 to the faithfulness of God.

The council boss who disclosed this during the end-of-year annual thanksgiving event, tagged “Special Thanksgiving Day 2024,” held at the council chapel in Oleh, headquarters of the council, enjoined the people of Isoko South to continue praying for the peace and unity of the local government, emphasizing that only God deserves all the praises and honours. “It is by His grace that we are alive and here today, and we return all the glory to God.”

Warri noted that his administration’s developmental strides were achieved through the power of God and expressed gratitude to Him alone adding that “Isoko South has gone through several phases, including challenges, crises, and violence, but in the midst of these troubles, God intervened.

All that we have achieved so far is by the grace of God. We are here to glorify the name of the Lord for the unforeseen battles we fight every day. In all our daily activities, let’s continue to glorify His name,” he stated.

The council chairman however appealed to anyone that may have been offended by his administration’s policies, especially residents, council staff and the political class, to bear with him, charging them to expect improvements in the coming year 2025.

“If we have offended anyone this year, please bear with us; next year, we will do better. Without peace, there is no meaningful development in any place. Please continue to support us in your prayers,” he said.
