The plan of Urhobo of Delta central to produce the governor in 2023 may be a great battle ground as a group, Delta State Solidarity Movement for Senator James Manager, has unfolded plans to lobby other senatorial districts to make Manager governor.
In a statement made by one Comrade Felix Okpe, director general of the movement, the group the Delta South is poised to present Senator Manager to take over from Okowa as the next governor in 2023. This aspiration is aimed at scuttling the plans of the Delta central people to produce the next governor.
The group said Senator Manager is a leader who has been tested and trusted for about two decades at the national assembly who is now set to contest for the governorship of Delta state.
The statement reads this:
THE CALL FOR MASSIVE SUPPORT FOR CHIEF SEN. JAMES EBIOWOU MANAGER BY DELTA SOUTH PEOPLE.
The people from Delta South senatorial district in the state should be happy because Chief Senator James E. Manager who has been representing them in the Senate for over the years, a leader they have tested and trusted for about two decades, now is contesting for governorship position to transform Delta State and Delta South senatorial district in particular.
Manager’s governorship ambition is supported by all top political leaders in the country because they know his capability in transforming Delta State.
Therefore, I urge all the people from Delta South to join DSSM and support your leader by mobilizing other senatorial districts in Delta State to support his governorship ambition so that we can make Delta State a better place for all to live.

DG . DELTA STATE SOLIDARITY MOVEMENT (DSSM) FOR SEN. JAMES MANAGER FOR GOVERNOR 2023.
This move may scuttle the zoning arrangement being practiced in the People’s Democratic Party PDP over the years. The rotational governorship if followed allows the Delta central to produce the next governor in 2023.
But the Delta South movement if eventually sails through would destroy the zoning arrangement that has seen the party producing the governor on senatorial levels.
