It was all joy and excitement when state political appointees from Aniocha North local government area stormed the country home of the former Deputy Governor of Delta state, Chief Benjamin Elue, Obior Ward 1 for the maiden edition of their monthly meeting.
Speaking at the occasion, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mike Egwuyenga, said the meeting was initiated to bring cohesion and oneness among the people of Aniocha North to ease the work of the governor.
He maintained that all the political appointees have agreed to work together as one family.
In his advise, the former Deputy Governor, Chief Benjamin Elue, said everybody should be carried along, emphasizing that Aniocha North is supposed to be the touch bearer in the political arrangement in the state.
He urged the appointees to be grassroots oriented in their activities. Chief Elue urged them to avoid factionalization of the party. He advised members to help Governor Okowa finish strong.
It would be recalled that the inaugural meeting was held recently at Bezia Hotel where it was agreed that the meeting would be rotated among the wards to achieve greater success and support the governor.
